Nor-Maali´s new water-borne Normadur Aqua DTM polyurethane coating renews the surface treatment. Normadur Aqua DTM makes it possible to choose a water-borne polyurethane coating even for challenging industrial applications, such as machinery and equipment (ACE & OEM).
Nor-Maali created 25 years ago – the first single-coat polyurethane coating with a low solvent content manufactured in Finland – Normadur 65 HS. Since then, we have created a range of low solvent single-coat solutions. Now we have developed a superior water-borne single-coat polyurethane coating – Normadur Aqua DTM.
Normadur Aqua DTM is immediately available as a stock product. Normadur Aqua DTM is available in e.g. RAL and NCS S colours. Other colours on request.
To date, mainly solvent-based coatings have been the choice in industrial painting. Users have typically classified solvent-based coatings easier to use and having a better corrosion resistance than water-borne coatings. Since the tendency is towards stricter legislation, the users of solvent-based coatings will face in the near future challenges with VOCs. Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from paints cause harm to both humans and the environment. Nor-Maali´s glossy polyurethane coating Normadur Aqua DTM reduces significantly VOCs.
As a water-borne coating, Normadur Aqua DTM is more environmentally friendly and safer for the user: Mostly water evaporates into the air. Switching to water-borne or hybrid systems reduces VOC emissions significantly. Safety at your premises improves as well. Exposure to flammable and hazardous substances is reduced when using water-borne products.
With Normadur Aqua DTM the required film thickness can be sprayed in one coat. When developing Normadur Aqua DTM, environmental friendliness and user safety were important, but it was always clear that the features should exceed traditional solvent-based coatings. In Normadur Aqua DTM, the quality is in a class of its own:
